The holidays can be a time of excess…food, gifts, travel, decorations, parties! For example, studies show that Americans generate 25% more trash between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve than during the rest of the year! But wait! We can take steps to make the holidays eco-friendly without taking anything away from the spirit of the season. Sustainability is possible when we all shop, gift and celebrate with the environment in mind. Consider the following ideas.

With the addition of 5 electric buses dedicated to Andover, 10% of students now ride on electric buses through Trombly bus service. The electric buses and the required charging infrastructure were purchased with a federal grant.
