Opt-Up to 100% Renewable Today!

Today you can make a huge impact on reducing pollution. You can opt-up to 100% renewable electricity! Andover Community Power is set to launch in June. The enrollment period has now opened.

The Town of Andover is offering Andover Community Power (ACP). The program is a carefully designed alternative to your current electricity supply options.

The program offers three electricity supply options to all Andover residents and businesses. The default option, Andover Standard, will cost less than the current National Grid Residential Basic Service rate, currently 18.213 cents/kWh for residents, while also providing an additional 15% renewable energy. Andover Standard has a 13.905 cents/kWh rate.

You can choose to opt-up to Andover Ultimate which provides 100% renewable energy. Andover Ultimate has a 14.637 cents/kWh rate which is also less than the current National Grid Basic Service rate. You can be using 100% renewable electricity to power your home or business! To do this you need to opt-up.

To opt-up to Andover Ultimate go to the ACP website. You will need:

  • Your National Grid Account Number (found on your bill and on your Reply Card included with the notification letter).

  • Your customer name key from your National Grid bill. Your customer name key should be on page 2 of your National Grid bill in the blue box after the word “Cycle”. It is usually the first 4 letters of the last name associated with the account.

Your notification letter should be arriving the week of April 15. If you do not received a notification letter, you may not be subscribed to National Grid Basic Service. Check your National Grid bill.

If you are enrolled, you may always leave the program at any time, without penalty.

If you have questions there is a Resources section on the ACP website with lots more detailed information.

Opting up for 100% clean energy is the most significant action a resident can take to reduce pollution and step up for climate action!
