WECAN Members Celebrate a Year of Climate Action
An evening of connection, reflection, and momentum for a cleaner Andover
Last Thursday evening, Andover WECAN members and friends gathered outdoors at Oak & Iron to reconnect in person and celebrate a year of meaningful progress. With flatbreads, local ales, and great company, the evening offered a chance to reflect on all that’s been accomplished—and to enjoy the energy of the community that made it happen.
This year, WECAN helped bring climate action to the forefront in Andover. Highlights included the successful Youth Sustainability Fair, where local students showcased their ideas and solutions; the dynamic Climate Changemakers Forum, which sparked regional collaboration; and the community’s vote to adopt the opt-in Specialized Building Energy Code, a major step toward cleaner new buildings.
The celebration served as a reminder that real progress happens when people come together—with purpose, persistence, and a shared vision for a more sustainable Andover.
